Description |
The Brush Pottery Company (1925-1985), formally the Brush-McCoy Pottery Company (1911-1925), operated in Roseville, Ohio from 1925 to 1982. They produced a wide variety of items including vases, planters, jardinières, figurines, and cookie jars. Owner George Brush (1870-1934) died in 1934 and his son-in-law Mr. W. Clare Barnett (1906–2000), married to George Brush's daughter Mrs. Lucile Barnett (1906–2006), took over. Clare and Lucile Barnett personally donated this piece and many others to the Zanesville Museum of Art's permanent collection. This rare cream vase features a shell motif. |
