Description |
In 1923, the Fraunfelter China Company (1923-1939) was formed with the purchase of the American China Products Company of Chesterton Indiana (1922-1925). Founder Charles D. Fraunfelter combined this new purchase with the Ohio Pottery Company (1900-1923) in Zanesville, Ohio that he had taken over in 1915. Fraunfelter China Company produced several dinnerware items including hotel wares and blanks for decoration. They are also credited with producing the first hard porcelain manufactured in the United States. |
