Description |
Active in Zanesville, Ohio during the 1960s, Ida S. Kaufman (1911-2001) was recognized for her abstract, cubist-inspired oil paintings. This work is a departure for Kaufman. She depicted Zanesville's 6th street bridge in a less abstract and more naturalist style using transparent watercolors and opaque gouache which created a more dense and matte surface quality. |
