Description |
The Derby, Nottingham Road Factory (Circa 1756-1848) was founded around 1756 when partners Andrew Planché, John Duesbury, and John Heath decided to open a porcelain factory. Planché left shortly after, leaving Duesbury running the company. Derby acquired the Chelsea Porcelain factory and many artists worked at both factories. This factory on Nottingham Road closed in 1848. |
