Description |
Edris Eckhardt (1905-1998) was a ceramic and glass artist associated with the Cleveland School. She created a series of ceramic sculptures for the Works Project Administration illustrating children's literature that were used during story time events at public libraries. She later recreated these scuptures in glass. This piece, The Mad Tea Party, is one of a number of sculptures inspired by the original illustrations in Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland." |
