Description |
An example of a production piece from the Rookwood Pottery Company (1880-1967), this cast porcelain vase, shape number 6632, features a clover design and a Wine Madder glaze. First introduced in 1943, this translucent, high-gloss glaze, which Rookwood described as "brownish rose," was one of three glazes the company created during the war years from ingredients that were readily available and not deemed essential to the war effort. |
