Description |
The Golf Player, an etching by Rembrandt, was purchased in Paris, France by the first director of the Zanesville Art Institute Herbert Stewart Leonard who held this position from 1935 to 1941 when he joined the U.S. Army. During World War II, Leonard was a member of the monuments, fine arts, and archives division of the U.S. Military government in Germany. |
