Description |
Andrew Loomis (1892-1959) was raised in Zanesville, Ohio, and studied art with another local artist and Weller Pottery decorator Karl Kappes (1861-1943). Loomis became a popular American illustrator, author, and art instructor who settled in Chicago, Illinois. He wrote a series of instructional art books and achieved commercial success illustrating ads for Kelloggs Corn Flakes, Campbells soup, and Lucky Strike cigarettes. |
