Description |
This teapot was manufactured by Samuel Johnson Ltd (1887-1931), also known as Samuel Johnson Burslem or SJB, and was created between 1912 to 1915 when this decorative style was popular among the tea-drinking English. Manufactured from red earthenware, this teapot was decorated with a deep black glaze, a highly decorative gold transferware pattern, and striking turquoise and white squeeze-bag applied dots. |
