Description |
An example of Rookwood Pottery Company's Standard Glaze introduced in 1884, this vase, shape number 162 C, was hand decorated by Laura Anne Fry (1857-1943) and features flowers slip painted on an airbrushed background. Given its name because it was the standard product line produced by Rookwood during the company's early years, the Standard glaze line received international recognition at the 1889 Universal Exposition in Paris. |
