Description |
An example of Rookwood Pottery Company's Cirrus glaze introduced circa 1949, this black and white charger, shape number 6824, was hand decorated by Loretta Holtkamp (1894-1985) in1953. The piece features a raised abstract leaf pattern and decorated with a white, unctuous semi-translucent glaze that was one of Rookwood's last glaze lines and was named after cirrus clouds. |
