Description |
The acclaimed Columbus-based artist Alice Schille, like many Modernists, travelled to New York and France to develop a mature style. In this scene, Schille captures Ms. Jane Linn as a young girl from a prominent family. Jane was the daughter of Mr. Milman Linn, a co-founder of the Zanesville Stoneware Company. Mr. Linn and his descenents were instrmental supporters of the Zanesville Museum of Art among other community organizations. |
