Description |
Little is known about Crooksville Art Pottery (Active 1910). This pitcher was inspired by the popular comic strip "Happy Hooligan" which ran from 1900-1932. In this influential comic strip, a poor man with good intentions encounters a lot of misfortune and bad luck due his status but does not let it get him down. "Happy Hooligan" debuted in the William Randolph Hearst newspapers and was one of the first comics with the King Features Syndicate. |
