Description |
The Peters and Reed Pottery Company (1899-1921) was founded in 1899 in Zanesville, Ohio by John D. Peters and Adam Reed. Using local red clay, the company produced both functional and decorative pottery. Well-known decorator and designer Frank Ferrell (1878-1961) began working for Peters and Reed in 1912, where he designed the popular Moss Aztec line. Peters and Reed Pottery Company continued producing pottery until 1921, when the company became The Zane Pottery Company. |
