Description |
The Robinson Glass Company (1893-1900) was established by John Robinson and his son Edwin Robinson in Zanesville, Ohio. Their factory was located in South Zanesville along the Muskingum River, an important waterway that connected to the Ohio River and was used to move raw materials to the factory and finished glassware to market. They specialized in tableware, bar goods, and novelties. While many glass operations produced blown and molded pieces, the Robinson Glass Company was one of the first "press shops" in the area, press molding a vide variety of jelly tumblers and tableware. This toothpick holder features the company's pattern number 125. |
