Description |
An excellent example from Roseville Pottery Company's Olympic line circa 1906, this three-footed vase, Rozane Royal Shape R34, is decorated with Greek Muses. Note the color and glaze differences between this vase and the museum's other Roseville Olympic Muse vase, object id 1984.16022, which has a much sharper red, high gloss glaze. This vase was placed on permanent loan to the ZMA by Mrs. Robert P. Windisch (née, Georgianna Clement). She was not only the daughter of Fenwick Clement, the former President of Roseville Pottery Company, Mrs. Windisch was the wife of another Roseville Pottery Company President, Mr. Robert P Windisch. |
