Description |
This vase was manufactured at Roseville Pottery Company circa 1930, and bears a post-production drill hole on the vessel's underside to accomidate lamp hardware. The deep red and blue glaze was developed by Harry Wooliscroft Rhead (1881-1950) and flows beautifully over the shoulders of this vase. This piece was placed on permanent loan to the ZMA by Mrs. Robert P. Windisch (née, Georgianna Clement). She was not only the daughter of Fenwick Clement, the former President of Roseville Pottery Company, Mrs. Windisch was the wife of another Roseville Pottery Company President, Mr. Robert P Windisch. |
